12 Fourth of July Denise Groves, Mad About Beauty, Grantsville, Utah [Click here for full profile.] "Fourth of July nail art has become a lot more than just stars and stripes and the traditional red, white, and blue," says nail artist of four years Denise Groves. If you're looking to mix it up this Fourth of July, Groves suggests red and silver pinwheels, blue and white polka dots, or a marble design with red, silver, and gold, or a cute picnic scene. Since there are always new techniques, designs, and ways of doing art, Groves is always intrigued by the creativity the nail industry has to offer. For a custom Fourth of July design, one of Groves' favorite tricks is using pigments to create an ombre effect over the entire nail. Dip a small dotting tool or toothpick in gel-polish top coat and paint random designs across the nail. Cure, remove the tacky layer and uncured pigment to reveal a unique design just in time for your Fourth of July festivities. Groves ARTisT spoTLiGHT
