Math has never been my thing. My
issue with math is that it presents never-
ending problems that require formulas
and equations to work them out. But
life doesn't always hand you theorems,
and more often than not there isn't just
one solution to a problem. Being a visual
person, I actually didn't do so bad in
high school geometry. I've always loved
the look of shapes, patterns, and lines,
and continue to wear them in clothing,
accessories, and even nail art.
I think sometimes we can look at
nail art like an equation. We think if we
have the right steps and tools we will be
able to come up with something that
looks just like the example set before us.
Unfortunately, this is isn't always the case. The beauty of artistry, however, is
that you can embrace your mistakes and make the end result even better than
what you set out to do. I for one am happy there's more than one way to draw a
peacock feather or embellish a nail.
Nail tech Tiffany House proved there's more than one way to do geometric
nail art too. I love the asymmetry in her design. It reminds me that sometimes
things don't always seem to line up just
right, but they can still work to shape you
for the better.
